FAQ

  • Do I need a referral?
No, my services are recognised as primary healthcare and so no referral is necessary. However, a referral is required if you wish to claim the Medicare rebate under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (sometimes referred to as an EPC/TCA/GPMP). Simply ask your GP or specialist if you are eligible, ask them to nominate 'Good 2 Go Physiotherapy' as the provider and either give me the forms at our initial appointment or fax/email/post them to me in advance. You will also need a referral (and a claim number) if you wish to claim the cost of your treatments under Workers' Compensation or MVA (ICWA).
  • Is there a cancellation policy?
The reason health professionals implement cancellation policies is because whenever a patient cancels at short notice it means another person needing help has potentially missed out on being attended to. But I also understand that sometimes life happens; and it becomes impossible to make your appointment. For this reason I have a staggered cancellation policy which reflects the opportunity remaining for other patients to book the vacated appointment time: 1) More than 4 hours notice = no fee charged 2) 60mins notice to 4 hours notice = 50% of your appointment fee* 3) No prior notice ("no-show") to 60mins cancellation notice = 75% of your appointment fee* *Fee payment will be requested digitally and will need to be paid prior to your next appointment.
  • Do you accept MVA and Workers' Compensation cases?
Yes, certainly. All you need to provide is a GP referral, your claim number, and insurer contact details/claim manager details.
  • Do you accept patients on Medicare?
Yes! You will just need to provide your completed Chronic Disease Management Plan (GPMP/TCA/EPC) from your GP before our first appointment. Please note, for some services, the Medicare rebate amount doesn't cover the full cost and so there may be a small gap amount to pay.
  • Can I use my Private Health Insurance?
Yes! Whilst the amount of funding per visit varies between different private health insurers, the vast majority of policies will provide a rebate. In some cases we can claim the rebate immediately using your card, in other cases I will provide you with an invoice so you can claim funds back from your insurance company.
  • What if I have a Home Care Package?
Absolutely we can still work together. Simply notify your HCP provider that you wish to nominate 'Good 2 Go Physiotherapy' as your provider for Physiotherapy. They will then contact me and we'll sort out the paperwork and get started. If you want to check your eligibility for Home Care Package funding go to: www.myagedcare.gov.au/help-at-home/home-care-packages
  • How does mobile Hydrotherapy work?
Don't worry, mobile Hydrotherapy doesn't mean I turn up with a mobile dog wash van 😄 Hydrotherapy is a skill that I have honed. If you don't have your own pool I can simply meet you at your local aquatic centre.
  • How do you do a mobile BikeFit?
All you need is an indoor trainer to attach your bike to, it doesn't matter if it's a high-tech smart trainer or a 'dumb' trainer. After studying the science and performing many bike fittings I have found the most important adjustments don't require fancy equipment, just getting the right angles on your bike and being educated about cycling technique.
  • How do you do mobile Running Analysis?
If you have your own treadmill we can do the analysis at your home. If not, I can meet you at your local gym.
  • What is an Ergonomic Assessment?
An ergonomic assessment helps to ensure your work station has an optimal set up to either reduce your current work-related aches and pains or to prevent such ailments. I can assess any type of work environment, not just at your office or home office.
  • Can I use Good 2 Go Physio through my NDIS funding?
Yes! If you have either a 'plan-managed' or 'self-managed' NDIS plan then you just need to contact me directly (or ask your plan manager to contact me) and we can get started.
